Footner Forest Products Ltd. operates a world-class Oriented Strand Board (OSB) facility located ten kilometers south of the town of High Level in Alberta, Canada. Footner Forest Products Ltd. is a joint venture between two Canadian companies; Grant Forest Products Inc. and Ainsworth Lumber Company Ltd.
The Footner Forest Products facility went into production in late 2000, and when it reaches full capacity, the mill will consume 1.3 million cubic metres of deciduous timber per year. At full production Footner Forest Products' single line continuous press (currently the largest in the world) is projected to produce approximately 880 million square feet of OSB annually on a 3/8” basis. At present, Footner Forest Products directly employs about 175 people on a full-time basis.
