In conjunction with the DFMP, the FMA has had a Sustainable Forest Management Plan developed. Footner Forest Products has established an Environmental Management System (EMS) that has systemized and controlled operations.

Footner Forest Products is certified under the ISO 14001 Standard and the CSA Z809 Standard.

Footner Forest Products is establishing a Fund that will be funded by the company on an annual basis. The amount funded is dependant on the amount of Crown timber harvested. The Fund's purpose is to enhance the integration of the harvest of deciduous timber with other forest resources and values on the forested landscape through inventory, research, and strategic and operational planning.
